I bought a $5.00 grab bag from TAC. It has a pound of rubber in it! Anyway I loved my little surprise pack and in it was this little guy. I never thought of buying him in the set but when I had him in my hands I just had to make a card for my Grandma with him. Grandma's favorite season is fall. In the goodie bag was the, "just hanging out waiting to hear from you",but I already had the, "Open your arms wide and let God bless you!" That one was the one to send Grandma. He ended up being so fun to color. Even though I didn't use any patterned paper I looked at a paper pack for inspitation on my color pallet. It's fall on caffine. I hope it gave Grandma a little jolt of my love.
I made this banner for Grandmas 80th I use the george cartridge on the cricut. But I also use my sure cuts alot program to construct the flag with 80th on it. The white satin ribbon really finished it off I thought. The blue satin bows really make it pop.
A special birthday calls for a special card, Right? So one of my Grandmother-in-laws ( yes I'm blessed with two) turned 80 and she hosted a party that we helped with. I used left over paper from the sign I made for this card. I loved the elegance of the sentiment and the little swirl but it didn't have enough impact on its own. I stamped flowers in an oval, masking with post it notes as I worked my way around. Then I colored in with brown and blue marker.
With this card I actually went through my scraps to see what I could put together so I started with the base. I cut the fancy square using my cricut and a svg file, don't remember where I got the file. I stamped the flower and colored with my prisma color markers using only dots.
